Speak UP Your FEeLings (SUPYFEL)

Follow Up: Greece

Follow up Activity

Follow up activity was done in Athens on May 24, 2024, and participants of the program presented the activities and the results that we have done during our Youth Exchange.

In the follow up activity, there were approximately 20 young people, students, teachers and youth workers.

Except the previous activities, that Youth Navis implemented were published in Youth Navis website, Facebook, YouTube channel, Instagram, video, photos and information about the program.

What Youth Navis' participants in the program wrote:

Iasonas Stougiannos: Participating in the Erasmus+ project was an exhilarating journey that left me brimming with newfound joy and cultural enrichment. From the moment I stepped into this adventure, I was met with an array of diverse faces and cultures, each offering a unique perspective and friendship. The cultural nights were a highlight, where laughter and dance became the universal language uniting us all. While some activities may not have resonated with my age group, the overall experience was a vibrant tapestry of learning and connection that I'll cherish forever. It was a testament to the transformative power of international collaboration and the boundless possibilities of stepping outside one's comfort zone.

Anastasia Patinioti: Participating for the first time in an Erasmus program and being a leader at the same time, I had some anxiety. I was even more anxious when we got to the hotel and one of the facilitators explained to us what our responsibilities were, as leaders. However, because of the cooperation of our group members, we were able to easily respond to all of the questions posed. The overall program was amazing and one-of-a-kind, with 87 participants from seven different countries and a diverse age range. Despite this, everyone, including the leaders, facilitators, and participants, communicated and understood each other really well. I am overjoyed that this program has helped me better understand my feelings and conquer my anxiety of expressing them. Additionally, there were events from which the participants learned a great deal of fascinating information about the other participating countries. These countries also brought local products for us to try and a variety of traditional dances for us to practice and bond over. Finally, the SUPYFEL (Speak Up Your FELlings) program allowed me to meet new people and cultures, form friendships with people from other countries, and explore Cyprus through a variety of fun and educational activities in two cities - Limassol and Paphos - as well as the village of Paphos, Pissouri where we all stayed.

Eleni Tsoni: My time in Erasmus program in Cyprus was truly special. It was a wonderful experience where I felt encouraged to express myself freely. Through the project, I learned to communicate my thoughts and emotions more openly, both in my daily interactions and in the various activities we participated in. Whether it was exploring the rich culture of Cyprus or discussing topics in our group sessions, I felt empowered to share my feelings and opinions without hesitation. This experience has not only improved my communication skills but also helped me grow personally and connect with others on a deeper level. Furthermore, immersed in the vibrant culture and warm hospitality of Cyprus, every day brought new adventures and opportunities for personal growth. From exploring the ancient ruins, picturesque landscapes and flavours of Cypriot cuisine, every moment was filled with excitement and discovery. An important part was that I had the opportunity to make lifelong friendships with students from diverse backgrounds. The Erasmus experience in Cyprus has undoubtedly left an incredible mark on me, shaping my outlook on the world.

Maria Staikou: Speak up your feelings - Cyprus 2024 I would describe my experience in Cyprus as unforgettable. The subject of the programme that I participated in was "Speak up your feelings". I went to Cyprus feeling a bit anxious as, knowing myself, I thought that it would be hard for me to talk in front of a big crowd, let alone express my feelings. However, this changed as the days passed. More specifically, on the first day I found it hard to even spell my name in front of everyone, whereas on the last day I volunteered to stand up and start a new activity. The activities were fun and, although their educational effect was not at first apparent, they taught us several soft skills, like communication, teamwork, sociability and organisation. I met many new and interesting people, learnt more about their culture and bonded with them through the activities and the intercultural nights, which I loved. In addition, although the Greek team had no previous experience in the organisation of such programmes, all the members, and myself as a leader, did our best and completed every assigned task successfully. The fact that I was chosen as a leader, albeit stressful due to my lack of experience, made the programme more challenging and interesting and helped me learn how to take responsibility, be inventive and represent a group of people. Concerning Cyprus, it is undeniably a beautiful country. Both cities that we visited, Pafos and Limassol, were clean and beautiful and the Pissouri village was colourful and very picturesque. The hotel was clean, the staff was really friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Concluding, I really enjoyed my stay in Cyprus and I hope that in the future I will have the chance to participate again in another Erasmus project.

Panagiotis Rizos: Embarking on a 10-day Erasmus project in Cyprus, we delved into the profound theme of "Speak Up Your Feelings." Immersed in a rich tapestry of activities, we explored the depths of emotional expression through engaging theatrical and musical endeavors, fostering a safe space for individuals to share their innermost sentiments. Amidst the backdrop of Cyprus's enchanting landscapes, we embarked on enlightening excursions to major cities and iconic historical sites, unraveling the layers of the island's cultural heritage. Intercultural nights served as vibrant celebrations of diversity, where each country offered a glimpse into its unique identity through culinary delights, traditional performances, and heartfelt exchanges. Through this immersive journey, we discovered the power of voicing our emotions, forging lasting connections, and embracing the beauty of shared experiences across borders.

Manolis Kadiu: Organized, enthusiastic and full of appreciation, our team lead to a light but deeply solemn sense of gratitude to the Youth Navis organization for the opportunity to participate in the "Speak Up Your Feelings" program. Through this experience, we discovered new ways of expressing our emotions and strengthened our self-confidence. We are grateful for the support and trust you have given us throughout the program.

Stratos Kefalopoulos: As we wrap up our Erasmus adventure, I just wanted to say how much I've loved every minute of it. From the late-night chats to the spontaneous trips, you've all made this experience unforgettable. Thanks for the memories, the laughs, and the incredible friendships. Even though we're saying goodbye for now, I know our paths will cross again soon. I also want to thank the Youth Navis Organization for giving me the opportunity to be part of this project and the organizers of the Erasmus.

Stavros Nikas: Participating in the Erasmus Speak Up your feeling training seminar and my experience was impressive. The dynamics of the program led me to overcome my fears and express myself with confidence. The atmosphere was encouraging and the lectures rich in content, providing me with the tools I needed to improve my public speaking skills. I left the seminar feeling empowered and convinced that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

Michalis Pavlakos: We experienced a week full of unforgettable experiences. We met 56 young people from 8 different countries, explored the enchanting landscapes of Limassol and Paphos, and participated in a rich program of activities that strengthened our confidence in expressing our feelings. Through experiential games, group work and creative exercises, we cultivated effective communication skills, learned to manage our emotions in a healthy way and built strong friendships with our classmates. Our experience at "Speak Up Your Feelings" left an indelible mark on our souls and we will forever cherish it in our fondest memories.
